Job Purpose
Take overall responsibility for the planning, management, coordination, and financial control of a construction project, and will work closely with a range of other professionals during the contract process.
Detailed Job Description
Supervise and approve all technical reports, specifications, plans and construction documents.
Manage and control design process & construction progress
Implement upper management strategic plans and tasks, besides identifying the risk contingency factors.
Cost control
Formulate and control project delivery strategy
Prepare project progress reports
Selection & subsequent management of consultants/contractors that includes supervision of construction and operational performance of all external parties involved.
Respond to all instructions given and prepare legal, financial, and technical reports as appropriately requested.
Conduct and attend all related meetings & presentations related to the unit performance and technical engagements on site.
Experience required
Significant experience in project management with some experience in the Middle East.
Skills Required
ยท Strong technical skills in the areas of construction, engineering, construction technology & materials.
Good project management skills including PERT / CPM techniques & resource allocation
Good coordination skills to successfully liaise with different parties.
Good knowledge of contractual terms & issues
Strong time management skills
Strong reporting, communication and negotiation skills
Strong focus on quality & timely completion

The successful applicant shall be responsible for successful and timely completion of the projects while ensuring adherence to quality, meeting budgeted cost effectively, managing activities with the employer, consultants, designers, & contractors, and overall management of detailed design, procurement and construction activities through to final acceptance and handing-over of works.
